Pros
+ The music sounds good, even the lower and deeper sounds.
+ Very safe during your workout
+ Perfect answering and making of calls
+ High-quality non-disruptive Bluetooth connection
+ Ultimate wearing comfort. Very stable on the head even when shaking
Cons
- Neutral design. Might be a con for some and a big plus for others if you like a neutral headphones which match every outfit.
- Sound is difficult to hear in very noisy locations like an airport, construction site or very noisy street.
Summary
The AfterShokz Trekz Air is without doubt a unique bone conduction headphones and the best we have ever tested. It has pleasantly surprised both myself and my wife. It was designed for the active sports fanatic (hiker, biker, skier, runner, snowboarder,...) who wants to hear ambient sounds. Because hearing ambient sounds and the safety aspect are also what we are looking at when choosing a headphones, the AfterShokz Trekz Air suited all of our requirements. The sound quality is really ok. If you are only looking for the best sound quality when looking for a headphones, we suggest you go for a classic headphones with some more bass and sound depth.
The headphones design is not really mind blowing, but personally I find this bone conduction headphone pretty stylish. I like the neutrality of the Trekz Air design because it matches every outfit and it makes my headphones almost invisible. The battery life is satisfactory. I only had to recharge it twice per week (depending on the use of course). The AfterShokz Trekz Air price is a bit higher than a classic headphones, but you do get an innovative bone conduction headphones which excels at features and functionality. Personally, this is a must-have gadget for us!
